Weiguo Gu

Weiguo Gu, born on August 23, 1950, in Jiangsu, China, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, in Damascus, Maryland. Weiguo was known for his kindness, intellect, and unwavering dedication to his family. His journey through life was marked by moments of joy, resilience, and a deep commitment to the values he cherished.

Weiguo was a beloved husband to Yuying Cai, with whom he shared a harmonious life filled with love and mutual respect. Together, they created a nurturing home that was a cornerstone for their family. As a father, Weiguo took great pride in his daughter, Amber Gu, who embodies many of his qualities and virtues.

Weiguo's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Winston Gu and Jeffrey Liang, who were a source of immense joy and pride for him. He was a devoted grandfather, inspiring them with stories of his life and the values of hard work, integrity, and perseverance.

He is survived by his wife, Yuying Cai; his daughter, Amber Gu; and his grandchildren, Winston Gu and Jeffrey Liang. Weiguo is preceded in death by his mother, Yunan Gu, and his father, Renmin Gu, both of whom played significant roles in shaping his character and guiding his principles.

Weiguo Gu will be remembered not only for his contributions as a family man but also for the warmth he shared with all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will carry forward the lessons he imparted and the love he exemplified.
