Roxie Ann Swanson 
November 2, 1946 - March 21, 2026 

Roxie Ann Swanson, 79, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on March 21st, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and the familiar sound of her favorite Willie Nelson songs. Born in Baltimore on November 2nd, 1946, to William and Catherine Hayes, Roxie grew up with her two older brothers, Thomas (Harcil) and Sonny (Shirley), both of whom preceded her in death and are surely welcoming her home. Roxie found pride in her career as a travel agent, a path that led her to the love of her life and late husband, Wayne Swanson. She leaves behind two sons, George McCarthy-Zink (Eric) and Brian Zink (Connie). Her favorite day was the day she gained the title of "Granny", eventually becoming Granny to Savannah (Brian) and Madison (Noah) Zink.  Nothing delighted Roxie more than texting with Lynda Zink (Jeffrey) during Orioles games or sharing meals and cherished conversations with David Hayes. She had a large presence, lighting up every room with her laughter, quick wit, and playful mischief. Roxie's humor, brash honesty, and unwavering love will live on in the many stories we’ll continue to share over crabs and hot dogs. Roxie was cremated, and her and Wayne's ashes will be spread in Savannah, Georgia, as per her wishes.
