Rose Marie Fiorito

December 3, 1940 - November 20, 2025

Rosemarie Theresa Fiorito, lovingly known as Rosie, Rose, or Teri, was born in Brooklyn, New York, the youngest daughter of eight children born to Ida Mae Coster-Fiorito and John Paul Fiorito. Bright and determined from a young age, Rosie excelled in school and carried that same strength into the challenges of her life. After losing her mother as a teenager, Rosie courageously stepped into adulthood while caring for her younger brother. As a young mother of three sons—Arthur, Kenneth, and Gerard—she worked diligently to build a stable life for her family. Along that journey, Rosie was deeply grateful for the support and helping hands of loved ones who stood with her, ensuring her children were cared for during challenging seasons. Rosie found her true passion in real estate, first in New York and later in Arizona, where she and her husband invested in beautiful properties. Gifted in negotiation, style, and presentation, Rosie rose to success and earned the nickname “Closer 1,” a testament to her talent and perseverance. She also developed a love for Native American art and décor during her time in the Southwest. Returning to New York, Rosie experienced a joyful blessing when she moved right across the street from her beloved brother John and his family. Their closeness brought her deep comfort, companionship, and spiritual growth. In her later years, Rosie devoted herself to reading and studying God’s Word, cultivating a sincere walk of faith. Thanksgiving was her favorite season, a reflection of her grateful heart and love for family. Rosie will be remembered for her beauty, determination, strength, and the love she shared with those around her. Rosmarie’s parents, along with all of her siblings, James, William, Mary, Frances, Edward, Paul and John, preceded her in death. She is also predeceased by her beloved son, Kenneth, and her grandson, Aaron. Rosemarie leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Reverend Arthur Patrick Farward of Pittsburgh, PA, Gerard Matthew Akers (Liza) of Perth, Australia; 8 grandchildren, Arthur, Jr., Matthew, Amber, Alex, Adam, Andrew, Nicholas and Lia, six great-grandchildren, her step-son, Donavin White of Bronx, NY; and a host of nieces and nephews (who were also like her children), extended family, church family and friends. “Give thanks in all things, for this is the will of God.” “Rosie, we love you.”
