Donald Aubrey Whynot (September 2, 1964 – November 24, 2025)

With profound sadness, we share the passing of Donald Whynot, who died peacefully on November 24, 2025, at the age of 61.

Donald was defined by the purity of his heart and his lifelong mission: to spread joy and laughter wherever he went. Living with Down Syndrome, he embraced life with infectious enthusiasm and an unmistakable charm that left an enduring mark on his family and community.

A true character, Donald’s life could be distilled into three pursuits:

• ❤  The Pursuit of Comedy: Donald’s greatest joy was making others laugh, a gift he shared with playful spirit and impeccable timing.

  • ❤  The War on Clutter: As the self-appointed guardian of clean surfaces, he kept every table neat and tidy.

  • ❤  The Culinary Strategist: Ever prepared, Donald delighted in the planning of meals, always eager to know what was next.

He was predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Vivian Whynot, who now welcome him at the gates of Heaven. He is survived by his sister, Carol Neill, brother-in-law George Neill, and his two brothers, James Whynot and Geoffrey Whynot. His memory will be cherished by his five loving nieces and nephews—Caitlin McGuire, Emily Neill, Spencer Neill, Elizabeth Whynot, and Rachel Whynot—who will forever carry the warmth of his pure heart and the sound of his joyful laughter.

Donald’s kindness and light enriched every life he touched. He reminded us of the profound beauty in simple joys and the power of living fully, without reservation. He will be dearly missed.
