Cynthia Anne Ferguson

March 18, 1955 — March 3, 2023

Cynthia Anne Ferguson (Cindy) of Germantown, Maryland, passed away March 3, 2023, following a brief illness. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Lou Baldwin. She was the widow of the late Terry Ferguson.

Cindy enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, and reading romance novels that she kept track of on a spreadsheet so she wouldn’t read the same one twice. Although she faced a lot of adversity during her life, she met it head-on with courage, determination, and a sense of humor. And more than anything, she loved her family - not just the one she was born into, but the family she chose over her lifetime - never forgetting to acknowledge a special day with a card or call. (Or a very long text filled with lots of emojis.) She was always there for you. Always.

She is survived by her sister, Lynn Zwickert (Steve); niece Elizabeth Timmermans (Tom), great-nephew Max and great-niece Emma; nephew Peter Zwickert; and Terry’s children Melissa Funston, Melanie Hill and Moira Cary. She also leaves behind her loving companion of over 30 years, William Ballenger, and his daughter, Michelle Tobery, along with her children, Jamie Kershner and Joshua Money.
